About Westfield Rotary We are a service organization comprised of business and professional women and men who either live or work in or near Westfield, New Jersey. Linked with over 30,000 other Rotary clubs in more than 160 countries comprised of nearly 1.2 million members, we are helping to build goodwill and peace worldwide through our humanitarian efforts. Our club was chartered in 1921. Rotary International has been in existence since February 23, 1905! As Rotarians, we dedicate ourselves to our community as well as mankind through our motto "Service Above Self". Our club members fulfill this mission through the many service projects in which we participate. We welcome guests to join us at any one of our weekly meetings. Rotary History The name "Rotary" came from the practice of the early clubs of "rotating" their meetings from business-to-business each week. Rotary's gearwheel symbolizes the name and represents the "meshing" of Rotary with other organizations for useful purpose. Rotary works to bring together people of all races, faiths and political views. Rotary Shares Westfield Rotary has awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships to Westfield students.
